ALEFI forms a united professional team whose main function is to listen to its clients, to detect its needs and anticipate them, to propose solutions and solve doubts, and accompany each client during all the process.

In order to best satisfy its clients, ALEFI offers the possibility of having an associate responsible for leading all the necessary work for each case. The associate will give comfort, protection, and a constant follow-up. The technical execution of the advising will be complemented with the rest of the associates and employees’ contributions to get best results. The combination of a personal interlocutor and a high-quality team that can end up in a very specialized know-how is the basis of the methodology of our firm, and allows us to guarantee best results for each of our clients.

Santiago Barba Cuscó

Partner in the Tax Areas

Santiago Barba is a partner of our firm, specialized in Tax Law.

He developed his career at Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira during more than a decade. He there gave taxing advise on operations that included business restructuration, taxation optimization of multinational groups and family firms and; offered advise and possible strategies on the answering and attention to tax audits and inspections. Nowadays he still advises family businesses and wealth management, organizing, planning its organisational structure, proposing tax optimisation alternatives and reducing risks, and defending clients in tax requirements and inspections.

He has a degree in Law, a degree in Economy, and a Master’s degree in Tax Advisor. He is still part of the academic sphere imparting sessions related to tax law, like fusions, demerger, and exchanges of security, as well as sessions related to Special Taxes (alcohol, hydrocarbons, tobacco, etc.) at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC).

Anna Parareda Farriol

Partner in the Commercial Area

Anna Parareda is one of the firm’s partner, specialized in Commercial Law.

She studied a graduate degree in Law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona, and then did a Master’s degree in International Business Law at ESADE, Universitat Ramón Llull, Barcelona as well.

She developed her career in both Roca y Junyent and Rousand Costas Duran firms, where she advised on corporate commercial law to business groups and family businesses. After a stay in the United Kingdom, she continued her professional development as a in-house lawyer in a Family Office and as an advisor at a multinational firm, where she negotiated all kinds of contracts of provision of services and delivery of goods, and carrying corporate operations of different nature.

Progressively, she also specialized in the areas of business advising, especially in start-ups and corporate crowd-funding operations and investment agreements. Over time, and with her transversal vision of all the business world, she participates as a secretary in different administration boards.
